You can support The Blakeford Foundation in a number of ways. We offer opportunities for charitable giving through one-time donations, planned gifts, and tribute gifts to honor dear friends or family. Join a Giving Society
Blakeford recognizes and celebrates donors who go above and beyond in supporting our mission. By joining one of our giving societies, you'll be part of a community of generous individuals committed to enriching the lives of older adults.
The Cornerstone Society honors donors who contribute $1,000 or more annually in support of the Blakeford Foundation.
The Legacy Society recognizes individuals who have chosen to leave a lasting impact by including The Blakeford Foundation in their estate plans. These gifts may include refundable entrance fees, bequests, retirement assets, life insurance, real estate, or other planned contributions.

Planned Giving
Leave a Legacy of Care
A planned gift is a powerful way to create a lasting legacy with Blakeford. It can also offer tax benefits and financial flexibility for you and your loved ones. As a planned giving donor, you will become a valued member of The Legacy Society and help ensure that Blakeford can continue serving older adults for generations to come.
Popular planned giving options include:
- Including Blakeford as a beneficiary of your refundable entrance fee
- A bequest in your will or trust
- IRA charitable rollovers and qualified distributions
- Life insurance and retirement accounts
- Appreciated securities or real estate
- Charitable gift annuities and charitable trusts
For more information about planned gifts, please contact our CFO, Al Griffin, at al.griffin@blakeford.com or 615-665-3745.

Tribute Giving
Honor a Life. Celebrate a Legacy.
Tribute gifts are a meaningful way to remember someone special or mark an important occasion. Whether you give in memory or in honor of a loved one, your generosity will be acknowledged with care, and the individual or their family will receive a personalized notification of your thoughtful gift (without disclosing the amount).

More Ways to Give
There are many ways to make a difference:
- Gifts of Stock may offer tax advantages. Please contact us before transferring securities so we can ensure proper acknowledgment.
- Donor-Advised Funds (DAFs) allow you to recommend grants to support Blakeford’s mission with ease.
- Employer Matching Gifts can double—or even triple—your impact. Ask your HR department if your company offers a matching gift program.
- Workplace Giving Campaigns such as United Way allow you to designate Blakeford as a beneficiary.
- In-Kind Contributions of personal property or real estate are also welcomed, subject to review.
If you're unsure where to start or don’t see an option that fits your goals, we’re happy to help you craft a giving strategy that works for you.

Directing Your Gift
Whether you want to support Blakeford team members, resident care, enhance a specific program, or invest in a capital project, you can designate your gift to the area that matters most to you. We’ll work with you to ensure your contribution supports the residents and initiatives you care about.
